Abstract:
  • 1 ATLAS Software and Computation Daniel Levin University of Michigan DOE Review Aug.
  • 18, 1999 Time-Space Functions, Momentum Resolution & Tube Bending Autocalibration Level 2 Trigger GEANT4 2 Bent vs Non-Bent Tubes reported in ATLAS-COM-MUON-99-014 Baseline design requires bent tubes: Is implementation straightforward and necessary? (GEANT) Digitize hits with/out asymmetric RT functions & reconstruct tracks Evaluate momentum resolution.
  • Sensitive to small changes in environment but not to asymmetric RT How: Linear fit tracks locally over limited chamber regions Iterate from approximate to accurate RT function.
  • Status & Objectives: Works well over 0-20 deg range.
