| Abstract: | - \par The system test of the ATLAS Muon Spectrometer at the H8 test beam at the CERN SPS includes one barrel tower with six Monitored Drift Tube chambers (MDT) equipped with an alignment system and with four Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs) for triggering, and one end-cap octant consisting of six end-cap MDTs equipped with an alignment system and of one triplet and two doublets of Thin Gap Chambers (TGCs) for triggering.
- This work involved the first deployment of six end-cap MDT chambers, readout electronics and the chamber optical alignment system.
